Construction Detailing of Building Elements

In this project, we were to produce drawings on detailing of building elements superstructure which includes floor, wall, door, window, staircase, and roof. Other than that, we were to produce a model and a construction that consist of floor plan, sections and details based on a floor plan of a two-storey house complete with appropriate specifications, symbols and dimensions. My group was given timber as the construction material.

​At first, I was nervous because of the workload for this project but thankfully this was a group project. Although some of the members were quite new to drawings and making models since they were from semester 1, they were all were very helpful and cooperative, we managed to complete this project together. Through this project, I was able to develop a better understanding of the structural elements in construction as well as the different materials and technologies used in the construction industry. I was also able to improve my skills in manual drawing as well.
